The most well-known example is the Invicta Pro-Diver which looks almost identical to a Rolex Submariner from a distance. Invicta makes homage watches that are inspired by the designs of other major watch brands like Rolex, Omega, etc. Over the years, the Invicta watch brand has been known to collaborate with some of the biggest names and brands in the world including: Jason Taylor, Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, Shaq, NFL, Star Wars, Beavis and Butt-Head, Southpark, and even the US Army and Navy. Invicta's tagline is " Invincible in Detail". Although many watch enthusiasts claim to hate the Invicta brand, the reality is that the brand is like a gateway drug for many collectors to become interested in watches. Some collectors do not even take the watches out of the box when they arrive. Many Invicta watch collectors proudly own dozens, if not hundreds of Invicta watches. The brand's ability to spawn new models so rapidly, combined with the shop from home with 5 easy payment plans, seems to almost create an addiction amongst fans of the brand. Later, they even started their own home stopping style series. Invicta became huge over the years thanks to countless appearances on TV home shopping channels like ShopNBC, ShopHQ and Evine. Currently based in Hollywood, FL, the brand is now known for popular watch lines such as Pro Diver, Russian Diver, Reserve, Lupah, Bolt, Akula, Speedway, Venom, Subaqua Noma, and more. The Invicta brand that we know today came from a buyout of the name in 1991. However, that company also went bankrupt. Production at that point moved from La Chaud-de-Fonds to Bielle, Switzerland. The company went bankrupt in the 1980s and sold to a group called Ondix S.A. Invicta watches was originally started in 1837 by Raphael Picard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
